Very spacious and comfortable, with the interior architecture dividing up the seating area so that one can have the sense of privacy, if in a meeting or study group for example. One unusual element was an artist offering to do a charicature or painting of some sort--for renumeration, of course. |

However, I soon encountered the same at several other Atlanta locations. I do not recall seeing it in any other market, which makes me wonder if it was a decision made at the district level. |

None of the baristas at the previous stores could tell me of a location that offered this convenience, and I was pleased to be able to upload my photographs and offer a play-by-play of my tour. Truthfully told, however, the store is prettier from the outside than the inside--it's pretty old. But the manager is really cool. |

It has a quaint quality about it the building, and the trees and building in the background provide an interesting contrast. The interior is spacious and well-decorated. And it has modem jacks--could you ask for more? |

I like the way that the Starbucks logo is integrated into the elevator, almost as if the Siren were watching over us from above, or perhaps lifting us higher with the potent power of the bean. |

 | OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 07 November 1999 Douglasville is almost 30 miles from downtown Atlanta, and when I first visited in November '99 I was a little miffed that at 10:00 AM this mall location had not yet opened. But Atlanta freeways have many lanes (which are still insufficient during rush-hour), enabling traffic to move pretty quickly (90-100+ mph) on weekends. So it was just a quick deviation from my cousin's house one weekend in February, and I was able to complete my Atlanta cycle. One curious thing--every once in a while barista balks at selling me a short coffee, but this was the first one to claim it was a "kid's size". |

South of Atlanta in Fayette county, this store has a deck so appealing to locals that the management posted a sign requesting that the area be reserved for customers. It's only fair. The store also has the distinction of being the sole location south of I-20... can you demographic whizzes out there guess why? |
