Starbucks in Charleston

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please do not report any errors in the names or spellings of streets or cities to me, but rather to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. I will fill missing photograph dates as I have time, and I will continue to try and obtain store opening dates.

168 Calhoun Street

This is one of the two original Charleston (not Charlotte, which always confuses me) stores, and certainly one of the neatest, with its homey facade and cozy atmosphere. If I were a student again, I'd certainly love to hang out here.

As much as I enjoy Starbucks, I would have liked to have tried a breakfast prepared by the former occupant of the building, the Goodie House (according to a visitor to my site).

King Street seems to be the destination of choice for weekend partiers. If you need a break from the throngs of people, though, escape into this charming two-story Starbucks for some people watching (and coffee).

Not sure if they are still there, but when I visited this store there were some cool black and white photos on display.

A rare instance of a store without a "STARBUCKS COFFEE" sign... presumably a restriction imposed by the posh hotel.

A Scrabble board for the customers gets this store some major cool points.

Besides the pretty red trim, this is the only Starbucks to share a bathroom with a tire kingdom. And click 'More...' to see the best baristas at this store.

Licensed Stores (not operated by Starbucks)

PLEASE NOTE
The list below is not meant to be a complete list of licensed stores. Some licensed stores are not listed on the Starbucks web site, and some of the stores listed below might have closed. That's not really important. I only keep track of them so I know which ones I don't need to visit. But if you know for certain that any of these are actually operated by Starbucks, please let me know (and send me a phone # so I can double-confirm).
