Starbucks in Louisville

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please do not report any errors in the names or spellings of streets or cities to me, but rather to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. I will fill missing photograph dates as I have time, and I will continue to try and obtain store opening dates.

The door to this location opens into a really cool octagonal space... I half expected ninjas to come crashing down. Towards the back of the store, a long window is partly covered by a large, wide, x-shaped cross beam whose purpose escapes me still.

It's hard to tell from this outside shot, but inside the store is unusually shaped.

Though the building is new, the site belonged to the well-known Kingfish Restaurant.

I thought it amusing that this location actually advertises a "teen night" in an effort to give the local youth a place to hang out. This is in sharp contrast to my store in Plano, TX, which does everything it can to try and get the kids to stop loitering. But, as the manager explained, there's not much else to do in Middletown, KY.

This is another one of the few stores built inside what used to be a bank. Besides using the vault as an extra-private conference room, the extra rooms available will be used for a training center and an office for the district manager. Up until this point, I had never really thought about where the DMs hid out when not making the rounds.

This store has a cool dsiplay celebrating the area and its people. I believe I was told that the manager's grandfather is one of the men in the old photo.

I imagine they have rolled out the tables to all the store by now, but this was the first store where I saw, in late 2002, one of those tables designed for wheelchair access.

Licensed Stores (not operated by Starbucks)

PLEASE NOTE
The list below is not meant to be a complete list of licensed stores. Some licensed stores are not listed on the Starbucks web site, and some of the stores listed below might have closed. That's not really important. I only keep track of them so I know which ones I don't need to visit. But if you know for certain that any of these are actually operated by Starbucks, please let me know (and send me a phone # so I can double-confirm).
