Starbucks in Milwaukee

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please do not report any errors in the names or spellings of streets or cities to me, but rather to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. I will fill missing photograph dates as I have time, and I will continue to try and obtain store opening dates.

Build inside what used to be a restaurant, this is easily the most interesting store in Milwaukee. Of course it has wooden floors and brick walls. But if you walk towards the back, you will notice a strange thick metal door that appears to lead nowhere. The door does not swing out, but rather slides upward at an angle along the wall. Very nifty! Another door in a nook reads "Milwaukee Letter Service". Back in front, the fireplace is no surprise--but the large metal Starbucks siren sure is!

Cedarburg-Washington & Lincoln, Cedarburg

OPENED: 30 March 2007, PHOTO: 10 May 2007

To be sure, the interior design of this store is standard classico (if I remember correctly), but the building's trim is strikingly pretty, and the store sits on the outskirts of the charming little town of Cedarburg, across from a custard stand that seemed to be a popular hangout. Definitely worth a visit, if you can find it--instead of an address the store has coordinates, W61 N306.

This early "origin" store has a very homey feel. It's most unique feature is the tile behind the counter, rectangles with "fuzzy" borders painted in earth tones.

Licensed Stores (not operated by Starbucks)

PLEASE NOTE
The list below is not meant to be a complete list of licensed stores. Some licensed stores are not listed on the Starbucks web site, and some of the stores listed below might have closed. That's not really important. I only keep track of them so I know which ones I don't need to visit. But if you know for certain that any of these are actually operated by Starbucks, please let me know (and send me a phone # so I can double-confirm).
