Starbucks in Paris

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please do not report any errors in the names or spellings of streets or cities to me, but rather to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. I will fill missing photograph dates as I have time, and I will continue to try and obtain store opening dates.

Capucines, Paris

OPENED: ?, PHOTO: 01 August 2009

Though this store could easily be missed because it's (admittedly unusual) stone facade is hidden behind construction, cars, and clutter, this store turns out to be, quite possibly, the most beautifully ornate store in the entire world. When you walk in, your eyes will immediately move past the lobby into a great hall held up my ornately decorated stone columns leading up to a lavish ceiling. Your neck will strain as your eyes move from the ceiling's paintings to the bas relief figures decorating the ceiling's trim. When you finally feel the need to look away, you can lower your eyes and count all the chandeliers spaced throughout the hall. But I must be honest--my words cannot even begin to describe this store. You must either come to Paris to see it, or hope that Starbucks chooses to post photographs.

Disney Village 1, Paris

OPENED: 01 July 2009, PHOTO: 03 August 2009

Besides being the 50th store in France and located inside Disney Village (not Disneyland itself), this store spores a new design concept--its chairs, tables, walls, and general appearance make it stand out from other Starbucks locations. But most distinctively, this is the first LEEDS certified store in Europe.
