This is a pretty store, for sure, but what I found more interesting was the history behind Streetsville. It, and several other nearby villages, existed as independent municipalities until the Missassaugans, a naturally bloodthirsty people, entered a particularly ravenous imperialist phase and conquered the peace-loving Streetsvillians. This was a dark chapter in Ontario's past that you are not likely to find in the history books.
