Besides a great storefront, this store has the comfiest pillowed foot rest to go with an equally comfortable chair. I suppose other stores have equally comfortable foot rests, but my feet just happened to be extra tired when I visited, I guess.

This Reserve store has several decorative features that make a visit worthwhile. First thing you will notice is a mural to the left, depicting the Sonoma area, and right under it a row of wine racks. Then you will notice the wine press on a table, and above it a chandelier made from the roots of some type of wine-related plant. More subtle, towards the bathrooms, is a tall sort of rack holding a number of air plants.

The prettier of the two locations in Napa California...

Trancas & Jefferson Napa, Napa, California

There's an old joke about a Starbucks inside a Starbucks bathroom. Well, this location has a condiment stand in the bathroom. But don't worry about contaminated sugar--it's just used as a trash.

Stores Not Visited

ATTENTION

Because of a glitch on the Starbucks website, this list is missing an unspecified number of stores that opened after July 1, 2024. Any remote stores that are not near any other stores will be missing, unless I found an article or social media post, and it is possible that other stores are mising also.

Licensed Stores
My Starbucking rule regarding store ownership are complicated and will be explained fully in my as-yet-unpublished book, but here are the basics. If Starbucks has a proper company in a country, such as Starbucks United States or Starbucks United Kingdom, then I only count stores operated, in whole or in part (sometimes there are partnerships) by Starbucks. In these countries, stores operated under license by other companies do not count. In most countries, however, Starbucks operates stores in a joint venture with another company (such as Tata in India) or licenses the brand to a primary (exclusive or semi-exclusive) partner, such as Alsea in Latin America and western Europe or Al-Shaya in the Middle East). In such cases I visit stores operated by those primary licensees, but not stores licensed to secondary licensees such as SSP or HMSHost. Additionally, in the U.K. and France, Starbucks franchises to a small set of companies, and I do not count those stores. Finally, note that some stores listed below might have closed down.
