Starbucks in San Diego

Aside from coffee shops there are also restaurants in San Diego California that you can try. Popular areas such as the Gaslamp Quarter in Downtown San Diego feature some of the best coffee shops around.

PLEASE NOTE
The stores pictured below are labeled with information that comes directly from the official Starbucks web site. The only alterations I have made are to remove certain punctuation marks. Please do not report any errors in the names or spellings of streets or cities to me, but rather to Starbucks. Once they fix the error on their end, my database will pick it up. I will fill missing photograph dates as I have time, and I will continue to try and obtain store opening dates.

This store is a veritable art gallery, displaying paintings, photos, and drawings. And the pieces are from three different artists, which is unusual... most of the stores that I have visited display pieces from just one artist and rotate them periodically. This store also has neat-looking little half booths up against a wall. But that's not all! A map of the world marks with pins the countries where Starbucks obtains its coffee.

This store is unusual because it moved and became *smaller* rather than larger. Though the new location can accurately be described as tiny, it is made from recycled materials and does have space for a cool design element, a large siren logo that appears burned, or etched, into a wooden wall.

Trafficked heavily enough to warrant two Starbucks locations, Horton Plaza is one of the niftiest shopping centers I have encountered. It is colorful and appealing in design, and it's combination of stairs, ramps, and elevators across at least six levels (each named after a different fruit, vegetable, or spice) would make this an ideal location for a game of hide-n-seek, tag, or paintball (if not for security, which would certainly object).

Okay, who out there misses the carne asada burrito from the Ramones Taco Shop that used to inhabit this building. At least one visitor to my site claims they were great hangover food. I'm not sure if Starbucks can take the place of a burrito, but it's a pretty store nonetheless. One more thing--word has it that Pacific Beach is not actually a city, but rather a neighborhood within San Diego.

You might not be able to tell from this photo, the sign reads both "Drive Thru" and "Walk Up". I've seen other kiosks that offered no seating, but this is the first store I can remember seeing that advertises itself as "walk-up". A visitor to my site tells me this used to be a Rally's Hamburger stand, of which there are now only one. A prime location, it seems, even for just walk-up. I've also been told there was another such store in the area, but I never saw it, and I only missed a couple in southern San Diego area before I had to leave.

That's not really important. I only keep track of them so I know which ones I don't need to visit.
